Point of Order
At 17.32, Adam Price raised a Point of Order stating that several Members today had asked for a statement by the First Minister to be made in the Senedd if there was any intention to introduce policy changes on Covid-19 restrictions. Members understood that an announcement was imminent, following on from the UK Prime Minister’s earlier statement, and it was important they had the opportunity to scrutinise effectively.
The Llywydd stated that she had been in contact with the Welsh Government regarding this matter and that she understood that final decisions were yet to be taken. Given that, it was not possible for a statement to be made to the Senedd this evening but she had received an undertaking that one would be made tomorrow.
The meeting concluded at 17.33
The Senedd will sit again in Plenary at 13.30, Wednesday, 23 September 2020
